Give Me Your Eyes
Posted in: Uncategorized
Im listening to the song by Brandon Heath called, Give Me Your Eyes. It is a song about asking God to help us to see the pain and suffering of those around us. I love that prayer! It is the one I pray often. I spend way too much time focused on ME.
The radio biz is much like any form of entertainment…if we arent careful we become VERY self-absorbed. Our life becomes about getting as much attention as we can. Its not so much about wanting the attention as it is about wanting job security. We want to be loved so we can keep our jobs. Thus we become shameless self promoters. And it gets very easy to miss what is going on in the world around us. We can forget that we are here to give back and to love those around us.
My prayer is that one day God will truly use me to help a lot of people find the hope they need. Whether it is the homeless, the sick, or the many who just want to give up…my little piece of the spotlight needs to find a way to break through their darkness.

One of my favorite songs Tony! And also a constant prayer of mine. A good reminder for anyone and everyone to look differently at others.

Tony:
Maybe you could contribute something to the book I am writing? It is a book of hope. I am trying to incorporate the stories of others and/or the perspective of others etc.My husband and I will be down your way the middle of October… perhaps we could meet to talk about it?

Tony, I think you aready do, and even though you may have to self promote you still have a healing gift, you are humble yet you make us laugh, and you are just as much a part of fitz in the morning as is Mary and Fitz, we love ya, and Its very nice to hear another Christian who constanty works, struggles and shares their faith openly I think you are going in the right direction your focus from this end keeps my fellowship and desire to grow in Christ, and share the word. I think people who live the walk without a big loud speaker get heard a lot more.and the show….wouldnt be 1/2 as good as it is,
